Martin Luther King has had such a huge impact on our lives today. If is wasn’t for hi we would still be segregated and believe that we are supeerior to everyone that isn’t caucasion. He believed that everyone should be treated the exact same as eveyrone else. He was always being put down, sent threatening messages, and called some of the worst names you can think of, but he kept going. If you were fighting for somrhting yoou believed in and evryone put you down and never beleived you could accompish it, would you perservere and keep going, or give up? Imagine if Martin Luther King Jr. gave up because is feelings were hurt? Our lives would be so much diifferent. We wouldn’t have a wonderful senator running for president, some of the best African American doctors, or allot of other magnifican people. We wouldn’t have these people just because of their skin color. Sure someone else might have tried to de-segregate our country, but they might noot have accomplished it. We need to be thankful that this man opened our eyes to what we were doing and accomplishing by segregating.
When Martin Luther King Jr. said - A man can’t ride your back unless it’s bent. - he was goiving everyone a source of confidence to disobey the “rules” that seperated people because of their skin color.
