Rumors

We all know that rumors really s**k. So why do people start them?? They’re like totally stupid and some people actually believe them. So… how do you decipher which ones are real and which ones are a lie? Here’s how…
Whenever a person is telling a rumor that isn’t true they talk slower so they can make sure they’ve got te story straight. The other way is by studying their face. They are either the control freaks or the extremely nervous.
The control freaks will stay extremely still and barely move a muscle. They will also not move their face except to talk. But the extrtemely nervous will keep tugging at their clothes and itching their face and fidgeting all over the place.
These rules work to see if someone is lying too.
But the best way of telling if a rumor is true, just confront the person that is being talked about…. and whatever you do don’t say who told you and exactlly what they said because that can make an entire new catastrophe.

The best things in life are eachother

This video really affects everyone and sends a different message to different people.

This video has a basic message.holding-hands.jpg

The best things in life aren’t ipods and diamond rings, it’s about appreciating everyone around you, and appreciate them and what they do for you. Everyone is always concerned avbout all of the materialistic aspects of life……. which is totally shallow. No body ever thinks about how the people you love have such a huge impact onj your life and personallity.

I know that some people are writing really long respomses to the video they picked, but this is what I got out of this video.

Secrets

Secrets. we all have them, but some are worse than others. NOw, there are certain types of secrets, little stpid ones. little stupid secrets are like the ones that if they were let out it wouldn’t be the end of the world, or they are the kind that wouldn’t get you in trouble.

Then there are the secret secrets. These are the ones that if let out could get you in some trouble, and possibly like killed by a friend. These arem’t all that bad, depending on the intensity.

The worse kind of secrets are Deathly secrets. These are the worst. If these kinds are let out, you could loose a friend and possibly be grounded for like ever ny ur parents.

In my opinion, secrets are a pretty good thing to have, they give you something to think about and something to make sure you don’t talk about too much. What about u?

I’ve had my share of all of these, what about you? Write to me about what stage of secrets you’ve had. but put on them if you want them public or not.

The Business I Chose!

We all had to choose a business to write a question to, and then write the answer.

The business I chose, was “Cooking With Amy” it is a newsletter and a and a recipe site. She has famous chef’s writing entries for her, and she puts up allot of her own recipes too.

I chose this business, because it is a really informational site. I have used 3-4 of her recipes at my own house. Another reason, is that she is not very well known, so i try to give her all the support i can.

The final reason i chose this business, is that i really enjoy her entries about eating in all different countries,

The question i sent her was, “what was your recipe, and did your family like it?”.

I will post the answer as soon as I get it!

I couldn’t post a pic, cuz of technical stuff, yet again! So go on her site and find one urself!

Here’s my comment from her blog!

‘The best dessert in the whole Galaxy’ is how I like to think of this Greek dessert which combines a semolina custard, flaky phyllo dough and honey drizzle. Yum!

Falafel?

Our teacher told us to find out about something that we have know idea about, so i chose FALAFELS!

Beofore i tell you about falafels, i have to tell you the story behind it.

We were on a family vacation at old orchard beach, and my parents were being evil! They kept talking about falafels, and i had no idea what they were! And they were not telling me! So i went around the entire campsite asking random people(@10:30pm) if they knew what a falafel was. I got some of the weirdest responses, and allot of people thought that i was absolutely insane! Finally i decided to ask the people across the street from us, and they knew!!!!!

When i told my parents what they were and my mom said i was right, my dad confessed that he didn’t kmow either! That just made me mad!

So here is the wikipedia definition of falafels.

Happy reading!

Falafel (Arabic: فلافل falaafil (help·info), Hebrew: פָלָאפֶל‎; also known in Egypt and Sudan as ta’meya, Arabic طعمية), is a fried ball or patty made from spiced fava beans and/or chickpeas. It has become a popular form of fast food in the Levant and in the Mashriq (Arab East), where it is also served as a mezze (snack or tapas). The word “falafel” is the plural of the Arabic word فلفل (filfil), meaning pepper.[1] Variant spellings in English include felafel and filafil.

Falafel is usually served as a sandwich wrapped in pita bread, and outside the Middle East, the term “falafel” commonly refers to this sandwich—falafel in a pita is typical street food or fast food. Along with the falafel balls, which may be crushed onto the bread or added whole, topping variations are usually included. Falafel balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a mezze. During Ramadan they are sometimes eaten as part of an iftar, the meal which breaks the daily fast after sunset.

Falafel has been part of the diet of Mizrahi Jews for centuries and is a staple of the Israeli diet. It has become the national dish of Israel.[2]

Falafel is now seen as a uniting, pan-Middle-Eastern dish. In recent years, immigration from the Middle East to Western countries has brought with it a broader availability of Middle Eastern cuisine, and the falafel sandwich has become a popular and iconic food within alternative fast food or slow food movements, and indeed has spread worldwide.

They are also used as a vegan alternative filler to a Döner kebab in many countries.

My environmental concerns

For our social studies class we are writing about something relating to the environment. The topic that I choose to write about is the constant tree cutting in the environment. Everyday there are tons of trees cut down in the rain-forests, which effects allot of animals and habitats. All of the many animals who live in or on a tree instantly loose their homes when the tree gets cut down, and some even loose their lives!

Also, the air all around us is dirty enough without cutting down the plants that help to clean it. Our air is constantly being polluted by toxins and all the pollutants, and the trees help to clean the dirty air.

In addition, threre are also many, many, many plants that are imported to the U.S come from the rainforests, and their costs will skyrocket with the decrease of the goods.

This is a constant problem, eventhough people are trying to help the rainforests, their efforts are slightly helping.

Write to me with any comments, your ideas, and anything else.
